The United States Hockey League (USHL) recently had their pre draft combine where players of midget ages of 95 and 96 birth year were placed on a team representing all of the USHL teams and competed in front of USHL scouts in Chicago to try and impress the scouts so they would hopefully get drafted and a tryout for a USHL team. The Midwest Selects won the 7th annual One Hockey Summer AAA Tournament.
We went 6-0-1 beating an undefeated Slovakian team 3-0 in the final!

Winners of the "Big Dog" AAA tournament in Detroit Michigan May 2nd 3rd and 4th 2008.
The tournament has been going on for over 20 years in the Spring
for All Star Teams from all over the US and Canada.

OUR MISSION

The Midwest Selects Team was formed to give players from all over the chance to play the sport that they all love at the Tier 1 or AAA level.
This "team" unites dedicated players for some common goals.
Meeting and forming friendships that hopefully last a lifetime.
To continue to grow and strive for the best we can be.
To compete together at the highest level while using the skills they have attained working hard for years with their home club and coaches.
We are out to win and have fun doing it while maintaining good sportsmanship and discipline and having the utmost respect for our competition regardless of the final outcome.
